National Night Out 2011
We had a great time with friends and neighbors tonight. Carolyn did a great job setting up to host tonight’s event. Thanks to everyone for bringing some great eats and especially Jon for feeding everyone some wonderful steak! We even had a visit from McGruff the Crime Dog who was a hit with the kids.
We filled a good sized bucket for the food shelf which Carolyn will deliver soon!

A visit to Duluth with friends
Carolyn and I had a great time in Duluth with Dan and LeAnn this weekend while the kids were with Grandma and Grandpa. We had a nice time hanging out. We went to see some great sites including Goosebury Falls and Split Rock. Also, there were casual dinners, playing cards and bar trivia.

A quiet cabin weekend
We went up this weekend with just my Mom and family. It was a very relaxing weekend and as usual, the kids had a nice time. There was a really wild front that rolled through on Saturday morning.

I woke up to shut the windows and saw this front rolling in. It reminds me of looking up at a wave breaking in the ocean from underneath.
Joey’s 6th birthday and first baseball game
I took advantage of a team outing at Target Field to bring Joey to his first Twins game today. I have wanted to do this since he was born and I hope it is the first of many games that we can attend together. Happy birthday buddy!

Birthday Party!
We had a birthday party for the kids today. It was was ridiculously hot but we had plenty of water, juice, a pool, sprinkler, and bounce house for everyone to play in. They seemed to all have a good time 🙂 We ended the day at Val’s pool to cool off with neighbors which was very refreshing.
Hanging with great friends tonight
I found out that Rob and Kim were in town today and met them at Marc and Genell’s for some dinner and catching up. The kids cannot wait to hangout again 🙂 Good times as always!!
