Jon, Tina and Olivia came up to the cabin last weekend and we had a great time. It was a bit chilly so the kids didn’t get in the water but sure kept busy finding stars in the sand and playing in the campers.
In a stroke of CRAZY luck Jon and I were visiting the local VFW and won on four of six meat raffle tickets!! Out of 50-60 people we won 4 times! We ended up eating like Kings and Queens. The pictures in the driveway are from our turkey roast in peanut oil.
We had a great time with everyone (Great Gma & Gpa, Mom & Joe, Ted, Stan & Sara) over at our house last Friday. It was great to see everyone together and Mom demanded that we got out the camera 🙂 Great to see you “little” bro!
We bought a new popup camper! We’ll be using it at the cabin for extra sleeping space and I look forward to doing some camping on “off cabin” weekends with the family.
I took the kids to Chutes and Ladders in Bloomington today while Carolyn had a day to herself for her
birthday.
Line of the day from Joey – “If you say poop, you get the no no juice”. He said that on the way home from the park, I was laughing my butt off!
He is holding baby Brynn, Mike and Jen’s new baby girl.
We went to Navy Pier in Chicago last weekend. The kids had a long day but did just great! They had all kinds of “adventures” including the airplane ride, train (the L) ride, a bus ride and a cab ride.
The kids are very excited to take their first flight today.
