Easter weekend – 2019
Burnsville won the 7th Grade Football Championship!
The year was up and down as mentioned here and the boys pulled it together for the playoffs and RAN THE TABLE!! It was very exciting to see them recover from being down early in a few games and in the semi finals they were doing so well the other team forfeited the second half of the game.
Congrats to the boys for a great year!!

7th Grade Blaze Football Regular Season Summary
Our team had some ups and downs this year, when they were focused they were unstoppable and unfortunately injuries stacked up against us in the second half of the year. The team finished strong in the regular season against Farmington.
Joey had a better year this year and we’d like to see him continue to get more aggressive π He had chances at a few interceptions this year, a couple through his hands (like the one pictured below and one off of his chest into the hands of a teammate) and we keep encouraging him to get to the ball.
We shall see what the playoffs bring…

The US Bank Stadium game was a highlight of an experience for the boys where they lost to Eagan (explaining the sour faces below).
I look forward to watching the boys grow more next year!! Here are some of my favorite moments of the team this year…

I shot my first game of the year this year vs Lakeville South. The team fought very hard and ended up losing a very exciting game. We are all very proud of them for their effort.

Glacier & Theodore Roosevelt National Parks – 2018
This summer we went on another national park adventure with the Lenzen family. We played games, had camp fires, smores, hiked (and sweated), swam, rafted, kayaked, canoed, enjoyed camping food, ice cream, and each other’s company.
Our trip started with a stop west of Fargo, a night in western Montana, and finally arriving in Glacier National Park which was our home for about 8 days. We decided to leave Glacier early to break up the trip and spend a day in Theodore Roosevelt National Park, camping in Medora.

A winter full of basketball and dance
Both Elizabeth and Joey remained busy throughout the winter. Elizabeth remains very dedicated to dance where she has had a couple of shows for us to see and two competitions. Unfortunately, I cannot take pictures at most of these events but she did purchase some photos of her first competition where her team won many awards π
Joey and his teammates struggled through the regular season with only a few wins but were hot at the end of the year making a run all the way to the championship game where they took 2nd place. Aside from the playoff run there was a very exciting comeback that Joey scored to tie the game before regulation.
