When I came home tonight Joey wanted to show me something. So, he hopped on his bike and started riding. A little late we know, but he’s finally riding! Good job buddy!

Fall colors
Elizabeth was excited to get out to play in the leaves tonight. Even with all of the crazy gusts of wind we managed to make a nice leaf pile.

Yesterday I had lunch with Elizabeth and Joey at school. Unfortunately, I
forgot to get a picture with Elizabeth 🙁 The chicken “O’s” were pretty

Getting ready for school
The “Kindergarten Kid” aka Joey is pretty excited to be riding the bus with Elizabeth, having school lunch, and recess. He is a proud boy right now 🙂
Elizabeth is very happy to have her previous computer lab teacher as her homeroom teacher this year. She is a little nervous that not many of her friends are in her new class but is encouraged that she will have new friends.
Nice weekends at home with friends and family
We had a couple quiet summer weekends at home with friends and family. We watched Twins and Vikings games on the deck with friends, had family over for a couple of meals, took a trip to the mall, stained the deck and play set, and attended a family reunion.

Magic!
Magic Johnson was a guest speaker at our leadership conference and ended with a Q&A. After a few very good questions, I simply asked, “Magic, can I get a picture with you?” and he had no problem with it. It received a good laugh by the crowd and started a trend with the folks that asked subsequent questions 🙂
Another quiet cabin weekend
I am late to post this one as it was from last weekend but we had a great time going to the lake association party and the Joe’s and I planted our first GeoCache.

A visit to Duluth with friends
Carolyn and I had a great time in Duluth with Dan and LeAnn this weekend while the kids were with Grandma and Grandpa. We had a nice time hanging out. We went to see some great sites including Goosebury Falls and Split Rock. Also, there were casual dinners, playing cards and bar trivia.
