Monday night geocaching
While Carolyn was out for girls night the kids and I went geocaching. We ended up one for two, we just couldn’t find the second “Easter egg” cache that we were looking for.
Geocaching sure makes for some fun adventures for us.
Expressions of a six year old…
Elizabeth has been a little sassy with Mom lately and has spent some time in her room. We found this on her door this morning 🙂
It says, “no mean Mom alowd”.
A wonderful outdoor Sunday!
We started our day with the new slip-n-slide which the kids have been excited for a few days to try out 🙂
We ran inside before a little storm rolled through. Once the blue sky showed itself again about an hour later, Joey and I decided to join Grandma and Grandpa for a canoe ride. This ride ended up being a little adventure! When we started the clouds didn’t look like they were going to come over us, we ended up with some sprinkles though. The lake got pretty choppy about half way through our trip which made it interesting coming back. We had to pull over and bail out the canoe a little bit because the waves (mostly from boats) were coming over the edge 🙂 A canoe ride is always fun unless you end up in the drink right?!

Once we were back on land, we ended our adventure by showing Grandma and Grandpa a cache that Joey and I had found a couple of weeks ago. We then joined Carolyn, Elizabeth, Great Gma and Gpa for dinner. What a great day!!

We ended a day that was mostly rainy at the pool. Turned out that where able to burn off their pent up energy 🙂
Geocaching in the rain…
Joey and I decided to hit a cache on our way back home from Great Gma and Gpa’s house. We had fun walking through the tall grass and getting all wet 🙂
My new Sprint EVO sure makes for a good geocaching companion!
Canoeing!
Joey, Grandma Penni, Grandpa Joe, and I went canoeing yesterday on Crystal Lake. We were out for about two hours on a beautiful day.
Joey’s prayer…
Joey has been really into Super Mario Brothers on the DS lately and he depends on me to help him to “beat Bowser”. Here was his prayer from this morning, “Dear God, Please let my daddy come home on Saturday so he can help me beat the Bowser castle. In the name of the father, son, and holy spirit. Amen”.
I certainly hope that God doesn’t let him down 🙂
