Joe and Penni’s 25th Anniversary Party

Carolyn, Jen, Nix, Stan, and I threw a surprise party for Mom and Joe yesterday at Nix and Jen’s home. The party was an absolute blast! We had friends and family from all parts of their lives. It was really great to see everyone come together for this occasion 🙂 Thanks to all that came and for the well wishes for those that could not make it. Also, a BIG thanks to Gerald for all of the help.

A weekend at Jellystone

We spent last weekend in Wisconsin camping at Jellystone with Kyle, Sarah, and family. Both kids and grown ups had a great time. Friday’s weather was perfect for the waterpark and then Saturday started with rain. We escaped to a local indoor waterpark to save the morning and early afternoon and resumed our outdoor activities later that day after the rain had stopped. I hope that we all get there again soon!

4th of July week at the cabin

We had the family up at the cabin for the entire week. Jen, Nix, and Stan joined us as well. Sinking boats (nobody trying to save us), canoeing with Mike, the parade, and lots of time in the water trying to stay cool are just some of the wonderful memories from the week. Great times were had by all in the extremely hot weather. I even buckled and we bought an air conditioner for the camper 🙂

A fun filled weekend

This weekend was pretty busy with some really fun events. On Friday night, the neighbor guys started out with some socialization around the fire at Dan and Cassie’s house. On Saturday, we went to the Delta Block Party where the kids enjoyed face painting, caricatures, and jump houses. All four of us enjoyed the give-aways, live music, lunch, and various treats. Carolyn took the kids home so that Joey could attend Jeremy’s birthday party and let me stay with Artur, Justin, and Stacey which was a lot of fun. We saw many co-workers and friends. On Sunday, we attended the Dan Patch Parade with some neighbors. The weather was beautiful and it was just plain fun all around 😉

Spring catch-up

It’s been a busy few weeks in our family. Joey placed second in his first karate competition and I walked for my graduation. It was a lot of fun to watch Joe place in his competition since he worked so hard and I felt very blessed to have my entire family watch me walk for graduation.

Spring Break 2012 – A short trip to Duluth

We did not have any real plans for spring break this year but the kids had been wanting to fly somewhere. So, we decided to fly up to Duluth for an overnight at a water park hotel. As a bonus, we were able to hang out with Kim, Aron, and the kids!

Bed Races on Buck Hill

Today we had a blast with co-workers, friends, and family today at Buck Hill. A big thanks to my parents for hosting the pre and post party. Kim, Kim, Mary, and I teamed up as the California King and the three Queens and we were sponsored by Delta. It was great to see other Delta teams on the hill along with many other companies and individuals. There certainly were some great costumes 🙂
