A week at the cabin

We had our belated 4th of July cabin trip due to Dave and Stephanie’s wedding. It was a very relaxing week with my parents and our family only we had some good quality time and lots of fun!

We thought of Uncle Stan when we saw this bear. Bear fight!! The kids were very eager to fish although we didn’t land much beyond a small bass and some sunfish. We spent a lot of time on the boats cruising around, playing in the water and sand, and the adults watched many sunsets.

I was extremely proud of both of the kids for trying tubing last week! The second day they went by themselves.

We went miniature golfing and go-karting. Of course, Joey and I won the race!!

The kids enjoyed the new tire swing…

Dan, LeAnn, and Murphy came to visit for a day. We enjoyed watching Dan water ski, the girls went tubing and Dan and I went knee boarding. Check out the stud that can still fit in his wet suit 🙂 We had a great day you two, thanks again for joining us!

I used my Android EVO 4G to create a video using the Time Lapse application. I set the phone on the dock and let it take pictures for over an hour.

A fun weekend

Despite the crazy weather this weekend we had a great time. On Saturday we went to Dan Patch Day’s and came home soaked 🙂

Playing the ‘grab’ game

It’s a race!

Carolyn and I then dropped the kids off with Grandma and Grandpa for the night and went out with neighbors for dinner and our first trip to the Shout House downtown near the Target Center. We had a great time!! I don’t know why we don’t have any pictures of Dan and Cassie!?

Today we ran some errands, Joey and I stopped and Uncle Nix’s, and we ended the day with a walk to the park on a beautiful night.

It’s been a great two weeks!

I’ve been on vacation for the last two weeks and really enjoyed time with family and friends 🙂

I spent a lot of time with Carolyn and the kids, got some long overdue stuff done around the house, lots of snow blowing/shoveling, celebrated Christmas, spent time outside playing in the snow with the kids, brought the kids ice skating for the first time, and hosted a New Year party.

It sure was fun. My goal is to use more time in the off during the summer months in 2010.

Back to work!

The wrong van

When the four of us were leaving Menards today we all opened the doors of a silver Odyssey like ours. Unfortunately, it wasn’t our van. The guy inside the van was on his phone and understood that there are many vans that look like his. I am sure he was surprised when all of his doors opened unexpectedly and Joey was already in the van 🙂 It was a pretty funny experience.
